Chest Tubes Out

Via Shelly- Wes has been more coherent as the Dr.'s have been backing off on the sedatives, but that has also meant that he seems more miserable. I think they are hoping that reducing the sedatives will help his lungs heal better because they seem to have been hindering the recovery. On Sunday the Dr.'s took out some tubes that were in Wes' chest, but that has meant that the ventilator % has been increased. In other words the higher percentage the more the ventilator is doing the work for Wes. Most of Sunday it was at 70%. Wes still has a long road ahead of him, but I have been encouraged by what I've heard of his determination. That can go a long way if he is able to channel it toward healing. I would like to remind all family and friends that Wes still needs love and prayers sent his way! He has such a long hard road ahead of him. Please don't forget his Mom, Dad, & sisters in your prayers either. They are really on an emotional roller coaster that I'm sure not many of us really know how hard it must be. If you live near them, please be mindful of their needs and struggles by helping and being there for them.
